Kiev-Pechersk Lavra will be "guarded" until the end of 2026 for more than 27.5 million hryvnias

The National Reserve «Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra» concluded a contract for services of protection of the territory and premises until the end of 2026. The total value of the contract amounted to over 27.5m hryvnyas.

According to pafic.com.ua, the purchase was made on January 1 by the National Reserve «Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra» without using an electronic system. The contract provides for the provision of comprehensive security services, including physical protection, ensuring security by technical means, as well as installation and maintenance of security alarm systems in the premises of the reserve.

According to the terms of the contract, the cost of these services is UAH 27,512,979.42. The executor of the work will be the Department of Police Protection in Kiev, which will ensure the security of the object until the end of 2026.

Recall, earlier the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications Sergiy Belyaev said that only for 2024 the state allocated for the needs of the National Reserve «Kievo-Pechersk Lavra» 650 million hryvnias. These funds were to be used for the restoration of architectural monuments on the territory of Lavra, but as of today 21 buildings are in unsatisfactory condition, 1 building is in emergency condition, and 23 architectural monuments do not have protection agreements at all.
