Zelensky awarded Chief Rabbi of Ukraine with the "For Defense of Ukraine" award

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has awarded Chief Rabbi of Ukraine and Kyiv Moshe Asman with the «For the Defense of Ukraine» award. The rabbi announced this on his Facebook page.

The award ceremony took place on March 11 during an event dedicated to Rabbi Asman’s 60th birthday. The rabbi thanked for the appreciation of his contribution, calling it «modest.»

As reported earlier, the daughter of the Chief Rabbi of Russia, Berl Lazar, Rivka, married the son of the Chief Rabbi of Odesa and Southern Ukraine, Avraham Wolf, Sholem. The family got married on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, in Israel.
