Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga met with Patriarch Bartholomew

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibyha has held an official meeting with Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople. The parties discussed the issues of spiritual support for the Ukrainian people and strengthening ties between Ukraine and the Patriarchate of Constantinople.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, during the dialog the Minister expressed deep gratitude to the Patriarch for his constant spiritual care and prayers for peace in Ukraine. Andriy Sibiga emphasized the importance of moral support from the Phanar for the resilience of Ukrainian society.
As part of the discussion of the context of bilateral cooperation, the Foreign Minister mentioned the recent visit of the Ukrainian delegation to Istanbul, which was headed by President Volodymyr Zelensky. Sibiga thanked Patriarch Bartholomew for the warm welcome of the state leadership, which once again confirmed the strength of ties between Ukraine and the Patriarchate of Constantinople.
