The Supreme Court of Ukraine will consider the appeal of Koretsky Monastery

The Supreme Court of Ukraine has officially set the date for the appeal hearing of the case initiated by the religious organization Koretskyi Holy Trinity Women’s Stavropigial Monastery of the Moscow Patriarchate. The court hearing is scheduled for early June 2026 in Kiev.
As reported by the State Service of Ukraine on Ethno-politics and Freedom of Conscience (SSEC), by the definition of the panel of judges of the Cassation Administrative Court of April 30, 2026, the case No. 855/2/2/26 was accepted for appeal proceedings. Consideration of the appeal will take place on June 3, 2026 at 15:00 in the premises of the Cassation Administrative Court at the following address: Kyiv, 8 Princes Ostrozhskyi Street, Bldg. 5.
The subject of the dispute is an appeal against the decision of the Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal of March 16, 2026. The plaintiff, representing the interests of the monastery of the Moscow Patriarchate, intends to challenge the previously issued judicial act in the highest instance.
Recall, earlier we reported that the media have established the total number of immovable property owned by Koretsky Holy Trinity Stavropigial Women’s Stavropigial Monastery of the Russian Orthodox Church, located in the Rivne region. Journalists expect that all the property of the monastery will be expropriated by the state after the Holy Trinity Monastery loses its legal registration.
