In Nigeria, 24 Christians were killed in an attack by Islamists

A tragedy has occurred in Plateau State, Nigeria: 24 civilians were killed during a nighttime attack by armed militants on a Christian settlement. The incident has sparked widespread public outrage and once again drawn attention to the escalating violence in the region, according to International Christian Concern (ICC).

According to reports, the attack was carried out by radical Fulani herders. The militants attacked the village early in the morning, leaving three more local residents with injuries of varying severity who were rushed to the hospital. The local Christian community asserts that this attack is not an isolated incident but rather the culmination of a series of aggressive acts, including the burning of homes and the destruction of farm buildings and crops.

The Plateau State authorities have officially condemned the mass killing. The state governor has ordered enhanced security measures and increased patrols in areas at risk of further attacks. Representatives of the Christian community attribute these systematic acts of violence to attempts to seize their land and are urging the government to ensure effective protection for the population and to hold the perpetrators accountable under the law.
