In the U.S., people continue to collect signatures for a petition demanding that the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople cancel the ceremony honoring Zelenskyy in New York

A protest campaign is unfolding in New York against plans by the “Archons of Disaster” organization and the St. Nicholas Church (WTC) council to hold an official ceremony honoring Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The organizers of the protest are calling on the public to sign a petition demanding that the planned event be canceled.

According to the Helleniscope portal ( ), the publication’s editor, Nick Stamatakis, expressed strong disagreement with the decision to hold the ceremony, scheduled for September 26. In his article, the author casts doubt on the political stability and the current situation surrounding the Ukrainian leader, hinting at the uncertainty of his status by the time of the ceremony.

The organizers of the protest initiative say they are prepared to hold mass demonstrations at the event venue—Cipriani or any other location chosen by the organizers—if the visit takes place. The campaign calls on supporters to take active steps to express their civic stance against the policies embodied by the invited guest.
