Donald Trump criticized the UN for ignoring the persecution of Christians around the world

During his address at the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, U.S. President Donald Trump harshly criticized the UN Human Rights Council, accusing the body of deliberately remaining silent about the persecution of Christians. The American leader emphasized that international human rights institutions prefer to ignore actual crimes against believers, focusing instead on the political agenda.

As reported by LifeSiteNews ( ), Trump stated that the heads of UN human rights agencies, instead of defending fundamental freedoms, spend their time criticizing the United States on secondary issues. According to the president, this selective silence is a clear example of the distorted priorities of an international organization that turns a blind eye to the suffering of Christians in various regions of the world.

In his speech, the president also addressed the activities of other international institutions. In particular, he criticized UNESCO for promoting mass migration, which, in his view, is destroying Western culture. In addition, Donald Trump spoke out against the International Criminal Court, calling it a body that has “spun out of control.” It is worth noting that representatives of the OIDAC organization had previously accused the EU and the UN of failing to respond adequately to the systematic persecution of Christian communities.

As a reminder, at the 63rd session of the UN Human Rights Council ( ) in Geneva, Metropolitan Feodosiy (Snigirev) of Cherkasy and Kaniv criticized discriminatory policies toward the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. In his video address, the bishop drew the international community’s attention to the problems of the forced mobilization of UOC clergy and the systematic violation of their rights.
