The Primate of the Polish Church discussed the humanitarian crisis caused by the war in Ukraine with representatives of the IOCC

The Primate of the Polish Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Savva of Warsaw and All Poland, held a meeting with the leadership of the international charitable organization International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC), during which the parties discussed the dire humanitarian and social situation in Europe caused by the military conflict in Ukraine. According to the press service of the Polish Church, the main topic of discussion was the large-scale social crisis and the related migration processes.
During the talks, the participants noted that the hostilities are leading to an erosion of traditional values and rising tensions in society. Metropolitan Savva and representatives of the IOCC emphasized that, under the current circumstances, the Orthodox Church is carrying out a special mission to preserve spiritual foundations, manifested through active charity and assistance to others.
The Primate of the Polish Church expressed his deep gratitude to the organization for its humanitarian work. It should be noted that the IOCC, founded in 1992 in the United States, serves as the official humanitarian agency of the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States and provides support to all those in need, regardless of their national or religious affiliation. Previously, the Polish Church had already appealed to its flock, calling for fervent prayer for the restoration of peace in Ukraine.
