In Lviv region, not a single parish stayed with Filaret, - representative of the OCU

Dean of the theological department of the Lviv Orthodox Theological Academy, Cyprian Lozinsky, in an interview with Religious Truth, said that “His Holiness the Patriarch should be given his due,” but “only God knows why he behaves this way.”

“The fact is obvious – the Kyiv Patriarchate, which actually formed the basis of the OCU, is the creation of Patriarch Filaret. Although it would be more correct to say: the creation of God, and the instrument was Patriarch Filaret. Why is he acting like this now? Everyone can look for answers himself. But the real answer is probably only God knows. And I’ll tell you that people here understand this. There is not a single parish in the Lviv region that would stay in the Kiev Patriarchate. The people aspired to autocephaly, they got it. Figures and eras, even the brightest ones, are fading away. Everyone has the right to make their choice, everyone has the right to make mistakes, but everyone is obliged to correct them,” said the representative of the OCU Academy.
