The hierarch of the OCU has not yet re-registered his diocese from the UAOC

The authors of the Telegram channel Churcher suggest that the conflict over the parishes of the OCU in the Kharkiv region, which is going on between the two «bishops» of the OCU (who previously represented the UOC-KP and the UAOC), will be resolved in favor of the former hierarch of the UAOC, Afanasiy Shkurupiy.

One of the arguments in the note is the fact that Shkurupiy has not yet re-registered his diocese to the OCU, remaining in the jurisdiction of the UAOC.

“What is this UAOC (OCU), and how can this affect the development of the conflict in the OCU in the Kharkiv region. Despite the fact that Afanasiy Shkurupiy`s diocese has not yet re-registered with the OCU, we assume rather a positive decision for him by the Commission on the Conflict: the unity of the OCU will still be appreciated more than the interests of Mitrofan Butynsky, local clerics or parishioners.

As previously reported, Afanasiy Shkurupiy stated that the “competitor” from the Kharkiv diocese of the OCU (UOC-KP) Mitrofan Butynsky was raging his parishes.
