40,000 believers march in the procession to Pochaev Lavra

On August 19, the day of the feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, 40,000 thousand believers made a procession from Kamenets-Podolsk to the Pochaev Lavra, according to the UOJ.

The prayer procession began on the outskirts of Kamenets-Podolsky — from the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos in the village of Dolzhok.

Metropolitan Feodor of Kamyanets-Podolsk and Gorodok led the conciliar prayer service, addressed the believers with a parting word, blessed the pilgrims, and then he himself set off at the head of the procession.

As reported, the police counted about 40,000 believers. The column of the cross-walkers stretched for 10 kilometers. Believers will walk 250 kilometers to the Pochaev Lavra in a week. The procession is attended by pilgrims from Serbia, Belarus, Romania and other countries.
