UOC-KP in Klavdiyevo-Tarasovo opened 4 criminal proceedings against the OCU

On February 09, 2022, at the Cassation Court of Ukraine a court hearing on the conflict between the UOC-KP and the OCU was scheduled. This is over the property of a religious community in the village of Klavdievo-Tarasovo, Kyiv region. This was reported on the Facebook page of the Kyiv Patriarchate.

“For more than two years, we have been defending in the courts and various law enforcement agencies our right to quietly celebrate worship in our church, without psychological pressure and the constant threat of occupation of the premises by representatives of the OCU.

During this period, we managed to open four criminal cases with the police. The investigation was provided with all the evidence confirming the fact of forgery of documents for the church and the parish house. It is on the basis of these forged documents that the representatives of the OCU are trying through the courts to obtain the right to access the above-mentioned construction sites and to force the family of our priest Sergiy Struk out of the house, and to deprive our religious community of the right to worship. Throughout this period, we see oppression, injustice, inaction and outright violation of the law by those who should take the side of protecting the truth and the law. But we do not lose faith that, with our common prayer and with God’s help, the Supreme Court of Ukraine will eventually take the side of justice and the law in this high-profile case, and justice will be restored,” the message says.

Earlier it was reported that the police opened proceedings on the fact of an attack by representatives of the OCU on a cleric of the UOC-KP.
