Metropolitan Pavel said that he was offered to unite with the head of the OCU

Representatives of the Ukrainian authorities suggested that Metropolitan Pavel, the governor of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, unite with the head of the OCU, Epifaniy Dumenko. The hierarch of the UOC stated this in an interview with the UOJ.

According to him, such proposals only sow enmity between people, while the UOC does everything for the sake of peace and prosperity in Ukraine.

“Some representatives of the authorities come to me and say: “Unite with Epifaniy.” What can I say? With whom shall we unite? Let Dumenko first receive legal consecration,” the metropolitan said.

The bishop emphasized that Epifaniy would be forgotten in the same way that Filaret Denisenko was forgotten in his time.
