Mayor of Chernivtsi: Church lands can be transferred to playgrounds, a park or a parking lot

On it, in particular, the mayor commented on the decision of the deputies to terminate the use of land plots by the UOC and told how these lands could be used in the future.

According to Roman Klichuk, this decision is more political. Thus, «the city authorities have shown that everything related to the aggressor should not be in Chernivtsi,» the report says.

Secondly, representatives of the UOC «will no longer be able to build facilities, repair them on the territory of the community. These are churches with large lands. Now we are talking about the fact that the city council may decide at a session to divide these land plots, transfer them to playgrounds , a square or a park, a parking lot,” the mayor said.

Roman Klichuk also expressed hope that the regional council would make the same decision to terminate property relations.
