In Makarov, supporters of the OCU did not allow the religious community to the "transition meeting"

On June 25, 2023, in the village of Makarov, Kiev region, about a hundred believers of the UOC confirmed their allegiance to the canonical Church, but the OCU activists did not allow them to attend their “meetings for the transition to the OCU,” according to “Dozor on the Pershyi Kozatskyi”.

As you know, having learned about the plans of the “initiative group” to transfer St. Elias Church to the OCU, the parishioners of the UOC organized a meeting of the religious community, at which more than a hundred believers unanimously confirmed their loyalty to the UOC and after that went to the “meeting” of OCU activists.

However, the organizers of the “meeting” saw that the true parishioners of the temple had an absolute majority, and decided not to allow them to vote, citing the “lack of Makarovskaya registration” for some believers, while a large number of Orthodox people from the Makarovskaya UTC are parishioners of the temple.
