Mikhail Golovko's fellow party members blame UOC for his detention

The Svoboda party, which lists the head of the Ternopil regional council, Mikhail Golovko, as the UOC is to blame for his arrest and the corruption charges.
«The All-Ukrainian Svoboda Association is intolerant of corruption in any of its manifestations,» the officials hastened to declare on their Facebook page.
«At the same time, it is important to report that Mikhail Golovko has recently received many threats from aggressive activists of the Moscow Patriarchate because of his active position on banning the activities of the Moscow Patriarchate in Ukraine and the transfer of the Pochaev Lavra from the hands of the Moscow Patriarchate to the Ternopil balance,» Mikhail Golovko’s fellow party members claimed.
They also expressed their hope that «Mikhail Golovko’s patriotic and principled position will not become grounds for political reprisal against him.
A reminder that according to the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office and the National Anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine, the head of Ternopil regional council Mikhail Golovko and two other officials of the regional military administration were exposed for bribery. These individuals were receiving improper benefits from a volunteer businessman.
