“Priest” of the OCU Roman Hryshchuk published on his Facebook page “arguments” why UOC believers do not want to move to Dumenko’s structure. One of the examples he called “ignorance of the clergy and believers of the Bible”.
According to Hryshchuk, the UOC believers allegedly manipulate the concept of “unity in Christ” and the call to “stick to pure faith.”
He also believes that the “illiteracy of priests” has an impact. According to him, only a quarter of the UOC priests have secondary or higher theological education, and therefore they “do not understand the processes of formation of local Orthodox Churches, the ways of proclamation, struggle, acquisition and recognition of autocephaly.”
“The priest” expressed disappointment that only 34 parishes of the UOC in the Chernivtsi region have “transferred” to the OCU since the Tomos was received.
He emphasized that behind the UOC clergy there is “some kind of system.” And Metropolitan Longin of Banchyn, who adopted about 400 children, Hryshchuk called “Bukovynian guru”.
Hryshchuk also wrote that people do not switch to the OCU because of the “simple-mindedness” of UOC Primate His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy
