Acting Director of the Reserve: Transfer of Lavra's facilities should be completed by the end of the year

The transfer of cultural heritage objects and relics of saints from the monastery, which is subordinate to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, to the state reserve “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra” should be completed by the end of the year. This was said in an interview with Ukrinform by the acting director of the reserve “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra” Maxim Ostapenko.

“I would be happy if everything is completed by the end of the year. I mean the transfer of both cultural heritage objects and relics,” Ostapenko said.

He added that “these processes are related to each other, but still the transfer of real estate objects, property complex is one story, and the other is the relics that are kept in the caves.”
