Metropolitan Kliment commented on the speech of Patriarch Kirill

Metropolitan Kliment of Nizhyn and Pryluky, head of the Synodal Information and Educational Department of the UOC, commented on the UOJ statement of the head of the Russian Orthodox Church about the “slipping into schism of those who stopped commemorating the name of the Patriarch.”

The bishop emphasized that the faithful and clergy of the UOC are exposed to open discrimination for their religious beliefs, namely for their desire to belong to the true apostolic Church. The Ukrainian Orthodox Church bears the burden of extreme pressure because of its commitment to the purity of the dogmatic and canonical church system.

“The experience of standing in the truth of our priests is not theoretical. Even if someone, whoever it is, wants to question this experience, it will not be possible. Because the entire recent history of the UOC, from the granting of a certificate of complete independence and independence to it in to this day, confirms that it is protected and guided by the grace of the Holy Spirit, which is really present in it. The congregation feels this very subtly. That is why it does not betray our Church,” he said.

The bishop also added that Patriarch Kirill’s calls to pray “for victory over those who rebelled against Holy Russia” do not bring peace to people’s hearts, but provoke a scandal.

“I thank God that the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church is His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry. In his sermons and appeals, he is guided not by politics, but by evangelical love. This love will conquer everything, no matter who blesses someone else,” Metropolitan Kliment said.
