Metropolitan Rostislav of the Czech Lands and Slovakia congratulated Metropolitan Onufry on the anniversary of his enthronement

On August 17, 2023, the Primate of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, His Beatitude Metropolitan Rostislav congratulated the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on the day of the ninth anniversary of his enthronement, the Information and Education Department of the UOC reports.

“In you, Ukraine and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church have received a true spiritual leader, a good shepherd and a loving father,” His Beatitude Metropolitan Rostislav stressed.

Also in his welcoming speech, His Beatitude Metropolitan Rostislav emphasized that His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry, constantly working in prayer and caring for the flock, fulfills the covenant of Christ and daily lays down his soul (John 15:13) for the suffering Ukrainian people.

The Primate of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia wished the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church that through the prayers of the great Saints of the Kiev Caves, the Lord would strengthen him in the crusading primate service and give him long and good years of life.
