The President of Hungary and the Pope are planning to work towards achieving peace in Ukraine

Hungarian President Katalina Novak met with Pope Francis, where they discussed the issue of achieving peace in Ukraine, reports the publication “Strana”.

“Our main topic was the war. Agreed that we will work together to achieve sustainable peace as soon as possible. We also discussed what we can do together to ensure that children who were taken away from Ukraine return home,” said Katalina Novak.

Prior to this meeting, the Hungarian President visited Kiev at the Crimean Platform forum and met with Zelensky and supported his formula.

It is also known that the country’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban did not support this formula (it implies the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine before the start of negotiations).
