Lavra nun calls believers to prayer stand

Hierodeacon Pavel, a monk of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, called on the faithful for a common prayer near the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra by 4 p.m., reports the telegram channel “Lavra Now”.

“We will defend our shrine every day: for the brethren, for our parishioners,” the monastery’s resident said.

Lavra parishioner Lydia added that “our Church has a 1,000-year history.” Therefore, in Lavra “walk on holy stones,” and “it is not a nature reserve.”

She also appealed to the Ukrainian president, reminding him that he was elected by the people and he has no right to commit lawlessness towards his voters.
