Police did not enter into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations information on the disruption of the prayer stand near Lavra

Lawyers of the Lavra said that police officers refused to investigate the disruption of the prayer stand of the UOC under the Kiev Pechersk Lavra and the use of a gas canister against a participant of the service. Therefore, they filed a petition to the Pechersk court of Kiev on this inaction of law enforcement agencies, reports on his Telegram channel Lavra lawyer Archpriest Nikita Chekman.
It is reported that law enforcement officers have not entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations information on the fact of disruption of the prayer stand at the Lavra on September 13, 2023 and information on the fact of causing a parishioner of the UOC light bodily harm by using a gas canister.
The lawyer also noted that the representatives of the Pechersk police department violated the requirements of Article 214 of the CPC, according to which the information in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations should have been entered no later than 24 hours after the filing of statements about the commission of offenses.
