Police and military prevented pilgrims from entering Sviatogorsk Lavra

On September 23, 2023, the police, SSU and the military did not let pilgrims in Sviatogorsk Lavra. About it reports Telegram-channel Molodizna spilka «Odigitriya».
«On September 23, pilgrims from different parts of Ukraine came to the Svyatogorsk monastery to celebrate tomorrow, September 24, the day of memory of all the saints, in the mountains on the Donets shone. But at the entrances to the city (and some at the entrance to the territory of Donetsk region) representatives of law enforcement agencies did not give permission to pass. They argued that «there is a war here, tomorrow there may be provocations and shelling». When asked to show an official order, the police representatives only showed their IDs. On the question «what should we do?» police representatives suggested people to go back, although in three or four hours the curfew will begin,» — stated in the message.
It is noteworthy that until that time, both pilgrims and volunteers were allowed into Sviatogorsk unhindered.
