The SSU reported criminal proceedings against 54 priests and 14 metropolitans of the UOC

The Security Service of Ukraine has reported that 68 criminal proceedings were launched against 54 priests and 14 metropolitans of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church over the past year and a half. This was reported by the security service on its official Facebook page. It is reported that we are talking about 20 «facts of state treason» and 18 moments of «incitement of religious hatred». In addition, 19 «malefactors» have already received court decisions.

The SSU reports that a significant number of detained clergymen of the UOC were exchanged for captured AFU servicemen. In addition, the security services said that the Ukrainian citizenship of 19 representatives of the UOC who — according to the Ukrainian security services — spread «pro-Kremlin narratives» about the war in Ukraine had been suspended.

We shall remind you that an MP of the European Solidarity party, Iryna Gerashchenko, demanded that the SSU «educate» her colleagues who refused to vote on the ban on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
