Vadim Novinsky: MPs have committed a blatant betrayal

Protodeacon Vadim Novinsky compared the vote in the Verkhovna Rada for the law that opens the way to ban the UOC, with the actions of the Bolsheviks. About it writes Politics of the country.
“The deputies who greeted the voting results with shouts and wild cheers are actually repeating the practice of their political predecessors – the Bolsheviks. They rejoiced in the same way when crosses were thrown down from churches and when thousand-year-old cathedrals were blown up”, – Novynskyy wrote.
He added that by voting in favor of the bill, “the deputies committed a blatant betrayal: Ukrainian politicians voted to ban the Church, where most of them once received the sacrament of Baptism.”
“Voting in the Verkhovna Rada for the bill directed against the Ukrainian Orthodox Church multiplies internal troubles, hatred and contradictions in Ukraine, sows confusion among people and definitely does not contribute to the unity of Ukrainians”, – Vadym Novinsky emphasized.
