In Irpin, the UOC church seized by supporters of the OCU was closed to the public

The Holy Trinity Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, which on October 25, 2023, was taken away from the OCU community in favor of the PCU, is now closed to the public. This is reported by the UOJ.
«The believers who came to the liturgy on Sunday morning, October 29, saw only locked gates. In one of the parked cars sat people in camouflage who were watching people coming to the temple. According to the testimony of parishioners, in the evening of October 26, after the unlawful voting of outsiders in the city council, people in camouflage and policemen came to the church. They kicked everyone out of the church and closed it», — the report reads.
In addition, the UOJ reports that the rector of Holy Trinity Church refused to comment on the situation. Parishioners claim that he received threats from the authorities and radicals. According to them, there is only one functioning church in Irpin. The rest are either seized or closed.
Recall, earlier we reported that on October 25, 2023, in the city of Irpin, Kyiv region, at the initiative of the local city council, Holy Trinity Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church was «transferred» to the OCU.
