The court granted Archdeacon Pavel cash bail and ordered him to wear an electronic bracelet

On February 13, 2024 Solomensky court of Kiev issued a decision on the case of the inhabitant of the Lavra Archdeacon Pavel. This is reported by the First Kazatsky.

It is noted that the court appointed bail in the amount of 121 thousand hryvnias, and also obliged to wear an electronic bracelet.

The Prosecutor asked to appoint the amount of bail 514 716 UAH, arguing that “the priest may have a great influence on society”. He added that the case is resonant and pointed to the “bad behavior” of Father Paul, because he did not immediately sign that he received suspicion.

“Lawyers of the monk of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra will appeal against this verdict, because Archdeacon Paul is not employed and has no income, therefore a priori will not be able to pay bail in 121 000 hryvnia”, – stated in the message.

We will remind, earlier we wrote that the SSU reported about the suspicion of archdeacon Pavel, a resident of Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, who, according to law enforcers, “organized provocations” in the monastery.
