Moscow's agency is to blame - a lobbyist of the OCU commented on the establishment of the Romanian Church of Ukraine

Oleksandr Sagan, head of the Department of Religious Studies at the Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, commented on the decision of the Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church to establish the “Romanian Orthodox Church of Ukraine”. Sagan believes that such actions of the ROMOC were provoked by the action of the “Moscow agency” in the interests of the ROC. About this he wrote in his Facebook account.

“Well, Ukrainians do not have time to cope with one ROCinU – as we have already been slipped another ROCinU. This time it’s the “Romanian Orthodox Church of Ukraine.” […] There is a suspicion that the Moscow agents of influence provoke the leadership of the ROMOC to unbalanced steps, in order to subsequently untie their hands and create canonical bacchanalia around the world”, – wrote Sagan.

Recall, earlier we reported that on February 29, 2024 the Romanian Patriarchate established the Romanian Orthodox Church of Ukraine. We wrote about the reasons and consequences of such a step of the Romanian Orthodox Church in the analytical material on this topic.
