Metropolitan Theodosius has been awarded another night of house arrest

March 13, 2024, in the framework of the fourth criminal proceedings opened against Metropolitan of Cherkasy and Kanevsk Feodosiy (Snigiryov) under article 161 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the bishop was assigned another house arrest. About it reports «Suspilne».

«The measure of restraint was elected in the framework of a new criminal proceedings under article 161 of the Criminal code of Ukraine — violation of equal rights of citizens depending on their religious beliefs, committed by an official repeatedly. Pre-trial investigation in which is now ongoing. According to the results of consideration of the investigating judge applied a measure of restraint in the form of house arrest at night from 22.00 to 06.00, daily, until May 13, 2024 inclusive», — detailed Yaroslav Peresunko.

It is worth noting that on February 6, 2024 in the Sosnovsky district court of Cherkassy held another session in the case of the manager of Cherkassy diocese of the UOC Metropolitan Theodosius. In view of today’s court decision on the new criminal case, Metropolitan Feodosiy has now been awarded «double night house arrest».
