The MP said that Ukrainian Protestants traveled to the United States to convince Republican believers of the need to ban the UOC

Ukrainian MP of the Golos party Yaroslav Yurchyshyn has said that representatives of Ukrainian Protestant denominations had been delegated to the USA to convince their coreligionists in the Republican Party of the need for the Ukrainian parliament to pass law No 8371 aimed at banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. He said in a commentary to the Glavkom publication.
“A number of Protestant Republicans were disoriented, but when our Protestants came and talked to them, it had its effect. Now this topic is no longer so critical for Americans. On the contrary, it is much better to pass this law as soon as possible now, before there is some new critical story with macro-finance or something else, when the Russians will pull this card again and start using the ultratrumpists to spin it. And the further postponed, the more difficult it will be to accept, because the number of discussion topics will only increase,” – said Yurchyshyn.
We shall remind you that earlier, US Senator James David Vance, a Republican from Ohio, said that the US establishment had not noticed the impending disaster in Ukraine with the violation of democratic values, where the authorities plan to ban the largest religious denomination – the Ukrainian Orthodox Church – in the near future.
