“According to Lenin's precepts": Kremenets ‘reserve’ will take excursions to the St. Nicholas Cathedral taken away from the UOC

The Kremenets-Pochayiv State Historical and Architectural Reserve (SHAR) has announced that excursions will be organized in the complex of buildings of the St. Nicholas Cathedral in the city of Kremenets, Ternopil Region, which was earlier forcibly expropriated by the state from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. As stated in the “reserve”, excursions will be conducted not only inside the temple, but also on the bell tower, which is also a historical monument. About it reports ZAXID.NET.
“We have developed a tourist route and are ready to receive groups of tourists and show them our history. Before the cathedral was rented by representatives of the UOC-MP this was impossible to do. I will say that even ordinary people from the street sometimes were not allowed to go into the temple, not to mention to climb the ancient bell tower”, – said the Director of Kremenetsko-Pochayevsky reserve Vasyl Ilchyshyn.
We will remind, on November 30, 2023, about 6 am, representatives of the Ternopil Regional Department of the National Police of Ukraine surrounded the St. Nicholas Cathedral of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the city of Kremenets, on the territory of which is located Kremenets Regents College. The students of the college were forced to leave their living quarters. The cathedral itself was taken away from the community along with its property.
