"Immediately put signatures": Poroshenko in the Rada again called for the ban of the UOC

On July 16, 2024, the former president of Ukraine, MP Petro Poroshenko, once again called for a ban on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The head of the European Solidarity party made a statement to this effect from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada, demanding to vote in favor of the bill No. 8371 this week. The politician’s comment is posted on his YouTube channel.
«Why, excuse me, the hell, for six months and even more, do not put to a vote the law on the Church? I emphasize that the Church law must be voted on this week. And those who have not yet signed — immediately put signatures,» — said the former President.
We will remind, earlier we reported that the former Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Igor Mosiychuk shared his opinion on the information manipulation around the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The MP believes that far-fetched accusations against the Ukrainian Orthodox Church are political in nature and are beneficial primarily for former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, who once again wants to use the church issue in his political program.
