MP Fedyna accused the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of the fact that the law on the ban of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church does not pass in Parliament

An MP of the European Solidarity party, Sofiya Fedyna, has accused the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, of the fact that the scandalous draft law No 8371 aimed at banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church was not passed in parliament for further adoption. Fedyna added that in addition to Stefanchuk, the head of the faction “Servant of the People” David Arahamiya and MPs under his control are to blame. About this she told in a commentary to the channel “Espresso”.
“The main lobbyist who is blocking the introduction of the bill in the hall is Ruslan Stefanchuk, the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada. Let me remind you that the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada has the ability to put the issue to a vote if it is raised by the people’s deputies. If the majority of deputies in the session hall are ready to vote and consider it, then there is no problem, and the bill is considered in the hall and put on the agenda. The Speaker has been blocking this for months on end. The second person who is blocking is David Arahamy and the MPs he controls. Also, the bill is being blocked by former MPs of the OPWDD. That is, they are active both in Parliament and outside it at the international level,” – said Fedyna.
We shall remind you that earlier MP Maryana Bezuglaya, who recently resigned from the faction “Servant of the People”, said that the Ukrainian Parliament is afraid to pass the bill № 8371, aimed at banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, because of its rejection in the United States and the Vatican. Bezuglaya said that a parliamentary group from the Verkhovna Rada would soon travel to the USA to convince the Americans to give the green light to ban the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
