“Master, I'm trying": Dumenko convinced Bartholomew that he constantly asks the UOC for a dialog

The head of the OCU, Epiphany Dumenko, who took part in a meeting of the Ukrainian delegation with Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople on August 13, 2024, told the latter that he constantly appeals to representatives of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to join his organization. Dumenko’s words are reported by the official website of the OCU.
“The Orthodox Church of Ukraine and I personally have always and invariably proclaimed that our doors and our hearts are open to everyone. We have repeatedly appealed and continue to appeal to our brothers and sisters who are still under Moscow’s jurisdiction with a call for unity, for the joint creation of a single Local Church, as defined by the Tomos and the canonical order,” – Dumenko said.
As we reported earlier, the head of the OCU, Epiphany Dumenko, has been sabotaging the arrival of the delegation of the Patriarchate of Constantinople to Ukraine for almost two years, which Patriarch Bartholomew had intended to send to the country several times to try to resolve the Ukrainian church crisis. However, representatives of the OCU, represented by Epiphany Dumenko and Yevstratiy Zoria, have been inventing various excuses to prevent the Phanar delegation from entering Ukraine.
