The Rada Profile Committee supported the finalized version of the bill No. 8371 on the ban of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church

The Ukrainian parliament’s specialized committee for humanitarian and information policy has supported the final version of draft law No 8371 aimed at banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The bill is scheduled for a vote in Parliament next week. About it in his Facebook account reports MP Volodymyr Vyatrovych.

“The Committee of humanitarian and information policy has just supported the edits to the final version of the bill, which will put an end to the existence of the Russian Orthodox Church and its branches in Ukraine. Now — in the hall and with God to victory,” — wrote Vyatrovych.

We shall remind you that earlier we reported that the head of the international human rights company “Amsterdam & Partners LLP” Robert Amsterdam, representing the legal interests of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, wrote an open appeal to Volodymyr Zelensky, in which he pointed out the risks for Ukraine associated with the possible adoption of the scandalous bill № 8371, aimed at banning the activities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The human rights defender pointed out that he had information about the purposeful destruction of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church by the Ukrainian authorities, which, according to international law, is a crime against humanity.
