Earlier, we reported that a volunteer from Lutsk, Serhiy Tymchuk, called for a religious purge of the clergy and believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the region. Tymchuk believes that if the Russian army came to Volyn, the Russian military would massacre “Ukrainian priests” (obviously, referring to representatives of the OCU – ed.). In addition, on August 24, 2024, Tymchuk, together with his accomplice, disrupted the service at the Peter and Paul Monastery of the UOC in the village of Svityaz, Volyn region, where they broke in during the Liturgy and began to harass the believers demanding that they leave the UOC and join the OCU.
In Volyn, a court will hold a trial on eviction of the Vladimir-Volyn diocese of the UOC from the occupied premises

Volyn Regional Council deputy Andriy Bokoch has announced a court hearing on the possible eviction of the Administration of the Volodymyr-Volyn Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church from the premises of the Holy Dormition Cathedral in Volodymyr-Volynskyi, which also houses the diocesan administration and theological school. The deputy said that he would personally attend the court hearings to “return the Assumption Cathedral to the bosom of the OCU.” This was reported by the regional publication Bug.
“I would like to inform you that today (September 3 — Ed.) at 11:30 a.m. a court session begins in the Volyn Regional Economic Court, located at 54A Voly Avenue, in the city of Lutsk. I, as a member of the Volyn Regional Council and assistant to MP Ihor Huz, will be present at this court hearing, as well as at all subsequent hearings in this case. I am confident that we will succeed in returning our Holy Dormition Cathedral to the bosom of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine,” — said the Volyn Regional Council deputy.
