As reported, on August 26, 2024, deputies of the Rivne Regional State Administration gathered for an extraordinary session to adopt an appeal addressed to the clergy and believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the region. The text of the appeal, in particular, demands that local dioceses of the UOC “break with Moscow” and join the OCU.
Rivne City Council is going to sue the Rivne diocese of the UOC for three premises in the city

The Rivne city council has announced that it will initiate legal proceedings against the Rivne diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in order to expropriate three premises located within the city limits of Rivne. We are talking about the premises of the Rivne diocesan office, the Holy Assumption Church and the chapel in honor of St. Sergius of Radonezh. About it reports the regional edition “Night Rovno”.
“We are talking about three objects: on Dubenska street, 46; Kazimir Lubomirsky street, 3 and Shevchenko street, 113 in Rivne. At the above addresses there are users who belonged to the UOC. During the preparation of the pre-trial regulation of this issue, the religious community on Dubenskaya transferred to the UOCU. Regarding the building on Kazimir Lubomirskyi Street, the case is already in court, the hearing is scheduled for September. And on Shevchenko Street, pre-trial preparations are still underway. As soon as the documents and evidence base are ready, we will immediately go to court. The building on Lyubomirskyi was preceded by another trial — the city court imposed an arrest on this object. It was imposed without grounds, and we are removing it, because it also blocks the entry of the property right to this object in the Register of property rights. Because the court concerned only the users who were using it at the time, which was Korotkov’s firm. We are carrying out preparatory actions. Because the eviction of users — only by court decision”, — reported in the city council.
