In Kyiv, unknown persons beat Russian citizen and OCU hierarch Kliment Kushch

On the night of September 11, 2024, in Kyiv, unknown persons attacked a citizen of the Russian Federation and a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Klyment Kushch, who is also the head of the Crimean Diocese of the OCU. As a result of the attack by unidentified attackers, Kushch was beaten. This was reported by the publication “Strana.ua”.
It is reported that Kushch was walking in the direction of St. Michael’s Monastery when three people stopped him and began to beat him. Klyment himself claims that one of the three called out to him before attacking him: “Bishop, bless me!”.
It is worth noting that Klyment Kushch, who is actively fighting the Russian occupation of Crimea, received a Russian passport in the first months after the seizure of the peninsula. Later, as we have already reported, the head of the Crimean Diocese of the OCU justified himself by saying that he needed a Russian passport in order to keep his personal and church property in Crimea.
