“No politics": OCU comments on attack on its hierarch

The OCU responded to the situation with the attack on a citizen of the Russian Federation and a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Klyment Kushch, who is also the head of the Crimean Diocese of the OCU. The situation that occurred on the night of September 11 under the walls of the Golden-Domed Monastery in Kyiv is considered by the OCU to be a domestic incident. This is reported on the official website of the organization.

“After investigating the circumstances that led to Metropolitan Klyment of Simferopol and Crimea being injured, as reported by the Ukrainian media, we inform that from the available evidence and evidence there is no reason to assert religious or political motives for the incident. The victim was provided with the necessary medical care, there is currently no threat to his life and health,” — the OCU press service said in a statement.
