Head of Kyiv Cave Monastery of OCU Avrahamiy Lotysh received on Athos

Avrahamiy Lotysh, an employee of the Kyiv Cave Monastery National Reserve and, concurrently, the abbot of the Kyiv Cave Monastery of the OCU, visited Athos. During the visit, the former clergyman of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church was received by the abbot of the Athos Xenophontos Monastery, Archimandrite Alexy. Lotysh reported this on his Facebook page.

“Holy Mount Athos is a place where spiritually wise mentors are concentrated. Among them, a special place is occupied by the abbot of the Xenophontos Monastery, Geronda Alexei, who has an extremely extensive life and spiritual experience,” — Lotysh wrote.

As reported earlier, on October 15, 2023, the abbot of the Vatopedi Monastery of Athos, Archimandrite Ephraim, concelebrated with representatives of the OCU.
