Recall, earlier we reported that according to the provisions of the anti-church law No. 3894 (formerly No. 8371) “On the protection of the constitutional order in the sphere of activities of religious organizations”, adopted on August 20, 2024 in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, state authorities have the right to prematurely terminate lease agreements for land plots, religious buildings and other premises, which were concluded with religious communities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
The law “On banning the UOC” came into force

On September 23, 2024, 30 days have passed since Volodymyr Zelensky signed the scandalous anti-church Law No. 3894-IX “On Protection of the Constitutional Order in the Sphere of Activities of Religious Organizations,” popularly dubbed the law “On Banning the UOC.” Starting today, the State Service of Ukraine for Ethno-Politics and Freedom of Conscience is to set up a working group to establish the affiliation of religious communities and organizations of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church with the Moscow Patriarchate, and some norms of this law may start to take effect already now. This is reported by the publication “League Law”.
“In particular, the Law determines that on the territory of Ukraine prohibits the activities of foreign religious organizations that simultaneously meet the following criteria: 1) are located (whose governing center is located) in the state, which is recognized as having committed or carrying out armed aggression against Ukraine and / or temporarily occupied part of the territory of Ukraine; 2) directly or indirectly (including through public speeches of leaders or other governing bodies) support armed aggression against Ukraine”, — stated in the message.
