They plan to build a military museum in the bell tower of the cathedral taken away from the UOC in Cherkasy

In the unfinished bell tower of the Archangel Michael Cathedral in Cherkasy, which was seized from the Cherkasy Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the invaders plan to set up a military museum. It will exhibit personal belongings of military personnel, shell casings, weapons and other attributes of war. This was reported by Suspilne.Cherkasy.

“We started to free up some space. We found a place to put these things, not to the landfill, but to make them useful to people who need them. I have always dreamed of creating such a dugout so that children could clearly see how our military live in such cramped conditions. Yes, we still need to invest a lot of money, energy and health, but we already have a way to turn around. We will try to divide everything into zones of combat units. There are a lot of flags now, dozens of them, just lying in boxes, signed. We will make a large corner of our 118th terrorist defense brigade from Cherkasy separately,” — said volunteer Oleksiy Svyatenko, who started to equip the museum.

Earlier, the commander of the 2nd assault battalion of the 3rd separate assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (nationalist group Azov — ed.), Dmytro Kukharchuk, commented on the first religious event of the OCU held in the seized Archangel Michael Cathedral of the Cherkasy Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Kukharchuk said that the OCU has problems with the organization of “church services” and called the atmosphere in the church depressing. He believes that if the OCU does not change its approach, does not set up shops in the church and does not play “good music” during events, young people will not go to the seized cathedral.
