In Kyiv, a cleric of one of the capital's UOC monasteries was subjected to forced mobilization

On December 14, 2024, in Kyiv, employees of the territorial recruitment center subjected a cleric and the regent of the choir of the Archangel Michael Zvirynets Monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to forced mobilization. This was reported on the monastery’s Facebook page.

“We ask for prayers for the health of our deacon and regent of our choir, Father Volodymyr. He was mobilized today,” – the message says.

We recall that on December 12, 2024, employees of the Beregovo Territorial Recruitment Center again subjected Archpriest John Rozman, secretary of the Khust Diocese of the UOC, to forced mobilization. The priest was detained for the second time in the last few months, despite the fact that he has documents that give him the right to officially defer military service. Believers of the Khust diocese tried to release Archpriest John from the local TRC, but armed officers of the department used firearms against them.
