OCU representative tells how he “performed baptisms” online

In Chernihiv, a representative of the OCU, Roman Kinik, told the media how he conducted religious events in a remote format. According to Kinik, such a service became possible due to the fact that many supporters of the OCU from Chernihiv went abroad. In particular, Kinik spoke about how he performed “baptisms by video link”. This is reported by Cheline.

“It happens that parents want to choose a godson, but he is now defending Ukraine. In such cases, they turn on the phone, and the godson gets in touch. The wife of the godfather is there, holding the phone, and he joins the sacrament,” – explains Kinik, noting that this format does not seem to contradict church canons.

Earlier we reported that the notorious OCU chaplain Roman Hryshchuk, who is actively involved in the seizures of churches of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the Chernivtsi region and incites hatred against the UOC on social networks, was officially recognized as a mentally ill person. MP Artem Dmytruk published a certificate stating that Hryshchuk was undergoing outpatient treatment in a psychiatric clinic due to an exacerbation of mental illness.
