Robert Amsterdam to speak in Washington on persecution of UOC

The head of the international human rights company Amsterdam & Partners LLP, Robert Amsterdam, who represents the legal interests of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, will speak at the Summit on International Religious Freedom in Washington, where he will provide a detailed report on the persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The lawyer announced this on his account on the social network X.
“Have you read our latest report “Ukraine’s Attack on Religious Freedom”? We distributed about 60 printed copies to Hill staff and other participants of the #IRFSummit2025. Censorship in their persecution of our Church is cracking,” – Amsterdam wrote.
Earlier, Vladimir Zelensky spoke about the measures the state is taking against the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to limit its activities. He argues that there is a legal relationship between the UOC and the Russian Orthodox Church, and therefore the canonical Church in Ukraine is being significantly curtailed in its rights in order to finally ban it.
