Ukraine should cancel draft law 3894 and return to the world of democracy and human rights, - Robert Amsterdam

The head of the international human rights company Amsterdam & Partners LLP, Robert Amsterdam, who represents the legal interests of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, during his speech at the International Religious Freedom Summit (IRFSummit2025), which took place in Washington, called on Ukraine to repeal the scandalous anti-church bill No. 3894 and begin to respect human rights and freedoms. The video of the speech was published on the human rights activist’s page on the social network Х.

“I am telling you that in my opinion, Ukraine should repeal Bill 3894 and return to the world of democracy and human rights, which our government and other governments support with our blood and our money. Attacks on the Christian religion are illegal. If you think someone is a security threat, accuse them of treason. And let me tell you something about the Ukrainian Orthodox Church — it is recognized in NATO countries. Their Orthodox Churches recognize our Church,” — said Robert Amsterdam.

Earlier, we reported that USAID, which has funded many political projects, media, and other areas in Ukraine, threatened President-elect Volodymyr Zelenskyy with organizing a revolution if he deviated from the course set by the State Department to “re-educate” Ukrainian society. A number of demands put forward to Zelenskyy immediately after the election also included support for the OCU and a ban on rapprochement with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
