We will remind, earlier we reported that the Security Service of Ukraine said that they had collected evidence of “anti-Ukrainian activities” of the rector of the temple and the priest of the monastery of the Khustka diocese of the UOC in Transcarpathia. According to the Raskolam.net editorial board, the reason for the accusation was the “Happy Victory Day” greeting cards that the priests posted on their social networks.
SSU reports detention of UOC deacon “on suspicion of espionage”

The Security Service of Ukraine has reported the detention of a deacon of a church in the Kharkiv diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The clergyman is accused of spying for Russia. According to the investigation, the detainee was allegedly engaged in identifying the concentrations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the region by “asking the ‘necessary’ information from parishioners.” This is reported by the press service of the department.
It is reported that the said deacon of the UOC was subordinate to a local psychotherapist who was engaged in the rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers, from whom he was interested in the movement of personnel and the location of the Armed Forces units in the region. In turn, the detained deacon of the UOC allegedly asked the parishioners of the church where he served for similar information in a veiled manner.
As a result, the accused psychotherapist allegedly sent the collected information to his FSB supervisor via messengers, using an additional phone and SIM card. The SSU documented the crimes of both defendants and detained them at their places of residence. According to SSU counterintelligence, the detained doctor had been a “sleeper agent” of the FSB for some time.
