As reported, on September 3, 2024, the Holy Synod of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia issued a statement in which it expressed support for the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine. The Synod of the OCCLS stated that democratic countries cannot adopt laws aimed at prohibiting the activities of religious organizations.

His Beatitude Archbishop Rostislav, Primate of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, met with Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople in Istanbul. The delegation of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia was received at Phanar on February 13, 2025. Details of the meeting have not been published. It is reported that the meeting was also attended by Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon, Chairman of the Synodal Committee on Inter-Orthodox Affairs, Grand Ecclesiarch Archimandrite Aetius, Director of the Personal Patriarchal Office, and Patriarchal Deacon Oikoumenios, Deputy Secretary of the Holy and Sacred Synod. In the evening, Archbishop Rostislav and his honorary retinue attended a gala dinner held in their honor.
