Congresswoman Victoria Spartz of Ukrainian descent publicly accused Volodymyr Zelenskyy of violating the rights and freedoms of Ukrainian citizens. She noted that there is no freedom of speech and religion in Ukraine, and that all those who disagree with Zelensky’s policies are imprisoned in Ukraine. She wrote about this on her account on the social network Х.

“Zelensky has taken control of all Ukrainian media, persecutes the Church, businesses and volunteers, covers up corruption for his friends, uses ‘puppet’ prosecutors to illegally imprison and intimidate anyone who tells the truth about his inability to defend his country or who may be a potential political opponent,” — Spartz said.

Earlier, the head of the international human rights company Amsterdam & Partners LLP, Robert Amsterdam, who represents the legal interests of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, in an interview with Tucker Carlson, spoke about how Ukraine demanded that the US government open an investigation against him for defending the UOC. The human rights activist recalled how he paid a visit to Ukraine, after which he faced significant opposition from the Ukrainian authorities. Currently, according to Amsterdam, he cannot visit his clients, as a criminal investigation has been launched against him in Ukraine.
